Today I am heading off to Los Angeles to attend the awesome Lucky FABB Conference. I was honored to be offered a spot to attend and can’t wait to soak in all knowledge from the experienced panelists and meet lots of fashionable bloggers 🙂
To save on costs I am driving to L.A. and staying with a good friend. It’s been a while since I drove that far of a distance solo. Usually, the husband drives while I snooze in the passenger seat. Needless to say, I plan on drinking some coffee, make sure I have lots of music ready and hopefully the hours will fly by. I’ve done this drive several times before and usually it turns out to be surprisingly enjoyable. Having that much time to yourself can be a good thing from time to time.
In addition to the conference, I’m looking forward to catching up with my friends and know that the long drive will be worth it. I still think road trips are much more fun with a companion, but sometimes taking that time to think and reflect solo can be good for the soul.

April 3, 2013 at 6:51 amThat's so awesome that you're going to that! I've heard mixed reviews about blog conferences, with the only negatives being that they are very "cliquey." Please do a post all about it, I'd love to know what you think!

I love road trips with friends but I also love driving (not day to day in LA b/c of all the traffic though lol) and it's great to get to do this every once in awhile.
