I was very skeptical of this trend at first. I mean a sneaker wedge, what is the point right?? The two seemed mutually exclusive since sneakers=comfort and wedges=not so much. But after seeing them again and again, I finally gave in. Though I did succumb to the trend I was committed to at least not spend that much money doing so, so I took the plunge at good ol’ Target, where these guys set me back only $35.I first wore them at a party at our place so I could gauge their comfort and safely walk around on carpet just in case I wanted to return them. Turns out they were actually quite comfortable and even looked pretty cool (at least I thought so). After all fashion is all about taking risks right? Once I’d decided to keep the shoes I couldn’t wait to wear them, so much so that I brought them to Tahoe even though that is probably not the best place to wear any shoes other than snow boots. Luckily, the weather was mild and I got to test drive my sneaker wedges while playing in the snow outside our cabin. Not sure if this trend will be sticking around but I’ve become a fan. It’s a bit different than any other shoe, not quite casual and not quite dressy either, just the perfect in between.
