Though I normally live in a shirt and jeans combo, from time to time I like to bring out my girly side with a flowy maxi skirt. A neutral pleated maxi was my pick for this spring-inspired outfit coupled with a yellow top and colorful accessories that really brightened up the look. I dressed up the outfit with a wedge heel (mainly because the skirt is a bit too long) but you could always pair it with a flat bootie or sandals.
I love how the bold blouse stands out against the muted color of the skirt. I’ve also worn this maxi with a more neutral top and loved the result. It’s nice to dress a little out of my comfort zone sometimes, especially when the outfit is just as comfortable as my typical go-to. Though it’s hard to let go of my inner tomboy, I’ve decided to try and wear more skirts and dresses in the future to fully embrace my feminine side.
