With Mother’s Day right around the corner it’s about time I sit down and figure out what to get that fabulous lady who gave me life. It’s always so hard to decide what to buy since it’s such an important holiday and of course you want to commemorate it, but then again you don’t want to keep buying the same things year after year.
I’m definitely a fan of meaningful gifts rather than something expensive. It really is the thought that counts and as long as your mama knows how much effort went into the gift then she’ll be appreciative of anything you’ll get her. So here’s my list:
1) Take her out to brunch/dinner — Nothing will make her feel more appreciated than you taking the time to show her that you care. It doesn’t need to be something fancy, just a simple meal with the people she loves most — her children.
2) Photo book — Like I mentioned here I am a huge fan of photo books and really think they’re the perfect way to showcase those important moments in life. I’m sure any mom out there would love to get a book filled with snapshots of her little (or not so little ones anymore.)
3) Massage — Always one of my go-to gifts. I mean who doesn’t love a massage? Any mom would love to be pampered on her special day and an hour of a relaxing massage is just the way to go.
4) Personalized gift — Last year we got my mom a ring with all our names engraved on it. Since all 5 kids live all over the country we wanted to buy something that would keep us close to her, this ring was perfect. There are lots of sites out there with personalized items, some may be a little cheesy but some truly are great keepsakes for your mom.
5) Card — The easiest and quickest way to your mama’s heart is to write out a sweet but simple card to show her you care. It’s not always the fanciest gifts that make an impact but rather the small things that reminds her how lucky she is to have you as her child.
What are you getting your mom for Mother’s Day?

May 6, 2013 at 5:58 pmGreat ideas Kasia! I made my mom a personalized photo book of photos from her childhood for Christmas and she loved it so much. She seriously wouldn't stop raving about it. So I def recommend that as a great gift idea. This year I think I am sending her some flowers, haven't done that in awhile and I know she will love them.
