In the summer of 2011, my husband and I traveled to Spain. We stopped in three cities including Barcelona. It was my first time in Spain and I was so excited to see this bustling city. Though we only had 3 days there we made the most of them! I would love to go back and spend more time there but I’m happy I at least got a small taste of this great city.
I was surprised to find out what a busy place it was! I felt like I was in New York at points walking along La Rambla, one of the best known boulevards full of shops, cafes and the amazing La Boqueria market. We also visited the phenomenal Segrada Familia, the still-unfinished cathedral with stunning architecture, as well as the cheeky Park GΓΌell.
We did a Fat Tire Bike Tour of the city which allowed us to see a lot in a short amount of time. (I’ve also done the tour in London and Berlin and loved it!) Another highlight was drinking large amounts of sangria, it was awesome π Highly recommend visiting this city!

Loved the food and sangria of course! And the Boqueria was amazing. All your photos totally brought me right back there. Thanks for the trip down memory lane! PS totally showing this post to Asia.

May 10, 2013 at 12:43 pmYes the Fat Tire tours are so much fun! The guides are all young and you even stop for lunch and drinks in between stops. Can't wait to hear about your trip when you go! π
