I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t influenced by all the fabulous street style out there. Luckily, in today’s digital age there are millions of photos to browse and get inspiration from. I became an accidental blog reader and eventually a blog author myself after seeing such images. There’s something so visceral about seeing how REAL PEOPLE wear clothes. As much as I love flipping through the pages of a magazine, I can’t help but be drawn to a more realistic approach to fashion.
Models are beautiful but lets be real, most of us don’t look like models. Seeing how so many stylish bloggers put together looks inspires me to be more adventurous with my own wardrobe. When I’m searching for a specific product, maybe a shoe or a jacket, I love to see how they look on real people. Suffice it to say, street style inspiration is a daily occurrence for me. It is also what propels my desire to post outfit photos myself. Who knows maybe someone out there will be looking for a way to wear a white blazer or a floral print skirt and my photos will help them decide on a look.
The thing I love most about street style inspiration is that it’s exactly that: inspiration. I may not rock a crop top and a midi skirt as some girls do, but I can take one piece of that and make it work in a way that matches my personal style. Either way, I’m glad to have so many stunning images to spark my own creativity and leave my mark on street style.
